Three of Our Favourite Small Canadian Businesses for Dog Products
We absolutely love supporting local. It’s a passion of ours to help out small business owners across Canada as much as we can. We do everything from being brand ambassadors for them and taking product photography, to talking them up and sharing about our favourite products they carry! We truly believe in these business owners–even call some of them our friends–and love their mission and values. These local businesses we love and support also value donating part of their profits to animal rescue agencies, which is close to our hearts.
TwelvePaws is a local YYC business that specializes in uniquely patterned dog bandanas and collars.
Oh Magog Adventures is another local YYC business that makes healthy freeze-dried dog treats!
The Rowdy Dog Club is based out of Ontario, Canada, and makes the most fun dog tags with a variety of designs.
We are lucky to know and be working with Natasha over at TwelvePaws since 2019!
We met her through a model call for a new line launch and immediately hit it off.
We hike and camp together with our adventure pack and herself, her partner and her two pups, River and Kiska. We’re so lucky to not only consider Natasha a good friend, but to help support her business.
She makes the best collars, bandanas and leather dog tags. She always has such fun fabrics and patterns! She also carriers some hands-free leashes and human toques–which are literally the best toques we own.
Kristen & Derek–along with their pups, Kuna, Maya & Kricket, make all their own freeze-dried healthy dog treats.
We absolutely love feeding the dogs, and the foster pups, these treats. We know they are limited ingredients and they source all the ingredients locally.
Freeze drying is a process that allows us to have as close to fresh as possible, without being fresh! The freeze drying allows almost all the nutrients to stay in the treats without being cooked off.
Maddie makes the cutest hand-stamped metal dog tags. The designs are so fun and unique, with a variety of tag shapes to choose from!
The tags hold up well in the water and snow, and she is able to include phone numbers on the back as well.
Maddie also donates to rescue agencies with part of her profits from her business, which we think is absolutely amazing!
